2008 Brett Levien Memorial Cricket Match

Proudly Supported by:

On Sunday March 16th the 2nd Annual Brett Levien Memorial Cricket match was played at Dangar Oval, Cranbrook School in Rose Bay, NSW.

The match was played in great spirit and the players at times showcased some of the old skill that might cause a little more aches and pains the next day but is definitely still available when needed.

After losing the 2007 match, the former A-graders came with a point to prove and prove it they did. Aided by some clean hitting from Adam Ezekiel and Glen Greenberg, the ledger was squared at 1-all.

Notable performances with the bat from Zac Zinman and David Petrini for the B-graders meant that the A-graders required 203 from their allotted 25 overs. They achieved this with 3 overs to spare.

The crowd was entertained, well fed and hydrated by the Team Brett BBQ and a great day was had by all. Next year's match is sure to be keenly fought again.

Ticket sales for the Team Brett Partay 2008 also kicked off with a bang and the BBQ and drinks stand raised over $1,000 for the Brett Levien Sarcoma Cancer Foundation.
